Whistleblowing channel: what it does

Anonymous or named

The person reporting chooses how to identify themselves: by name or anonymously. Each report opens its internal case file, in its own section of the menu.

Acknowledgment deadline, flagged

attendo flags the seven-day deadline to acknowledge receipt, so no report goes unanswered because someone forgot. The case file records when it came in and when it was answered.

Admissibility checklist

Every case file goes through its admissibility checklist before the investigation starts. What was checked, by whom and when is written down, and it can be exported to PDF if needed.

Administrators only

The list of reports, the dashboard, the channel settings and the decisions on each case file (accept, reject or close) are reserved for administrators.

Enhanced traceability

Every step of the case file stays on its timeline: who, what and when. And the channel has enhanced traceability, with blockchain sealing.

Aligned with the law

The channel is aligned with the EU Whistleblower Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/1937) and with Spain’s Law 2/2023. The Spanish law requires it for companies with 50 or more employees.

How it works

Step by step

This is how it is used day to day, on the same document as the rest of the modules.

  1. Step 1

    You set up the channel

An administrator sets it up and chooses who can access the case files.

  2. Step 2

    A report comes in

Anonymous or named. The case file opens and the acknowledgment clock starts.

  3. Step 3

    It is assessed

With the admissibility checklist, and an administrator accepts or rejects it.

  4. Step 4

    It is investigated and closed

Every step stays on the timeline, sealed, until an administrator closes the case file.

Honesty

Where it fits (and where it does not)

  • It flags the seven-day acknowledgment deadline. It does not calculate the three-month resolution deadline: the person investigating the case tracks it.

  • It is the tool, not everything the law requires: your organization provides the system manager, the channel policy and the investigation.
