attendo vs. Fracttal: which one fits you

Fracttal is a solid CMMS with a large Spanish-speaking community. The question is not which CMMS is better, but whether a CMMS is all you need.

What it does well

What Fracttal is good at

If you are looking for a CMMS, it is one of the ones to look at.

  • A specialized CMMS, with years of focus on maintenance.
  • A notable community and training content in Spanish.
  • Strong handling of assets, IoT and condition monitoring.
  • An interface designed by and for maintenance people.
  • If your problem is only maintenance, it is a very reasonable option.

Where it ends

Where it falls short

Fracttal is designed above all for a company’s maintenance department: the asset is yours and your customer is the plant.

If you maintain third-party assets, a layer appears that a pure CMMS does not cover: the customer with their contract and SLA, the service request that comes in by email or WhatsApp, the quote for the repair the contract does not cover, the hour bank being used up, and the question of whether that account is profitable.

That is no longer maintenance: it is service operations. And it usually ends up in a second program.

When to choose each one

The part other comparisons skip

We start with when Fracttal is the better choice. If that sounds like you, you can stop reading here.

When to choose Fracttal

  • You are an internal maintenance department, with no external customers.
  • Condition monitoring is at the heart of your maintenance and you already have it set up with Fracttal.
  • You do not need to invoice maintenance or manage service contracts.
  • You have no customer requests to receive and answer.

If that is you, Fracttal is a very reasonable choice.

When to choose attendo

  • When you provide maintenance to customers, with contracts, SLAs and invoicing.
  • When service requests come in by email, phone or WhatsApp and have to be answered.
  • When you need to know which contract is profitable before you renew it.
  • When sales and maintenance need to see the same customer record.

How to migrate

How to move from Fracttal to attendo

Your inventory is the most valuable part: it comes over in full and gets reviewed along the way.

  1. Step 1

    You export your data

Assets, locations, plans and spare parts, in Excel or CSV.

  2. Step 2

We import them with their structure

Families, locations, custom fields and spare parts, with a report of the rows that fail.

  3. Step 3

    We rebuild your inspection routines

Your inspection routines become maintenance plans with their checklists and frequency.

  4. Step 4

    You connect customers and channels

Contracts, SLAs and the channels service requests come in through. Work order history is scoped as a project.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Does attendo have condition monitoring?

Yes. Sensors and IoT connect natively, an out-of-range reading opens the work order, and predictive maintenance runs AI models on those readings. If you already have monitoring in another system, it can also come in through the API.

Are the assets imported?

Yes, with families, locations, custom fields and spare parts, from Excel or CSV and with a report of the rows that fail.

What about inspection routines?

They are rebuilt as maintenance plans with their checklists. Plan tracking checks every day that each asset has the work orders its plan promises.

Can I use both?

Technically yes, through the API. But the problem of the customer duplicated in two systems comes back.

Which one is easier for a technician?

Both handle it well. The difference is that in attendo the technician also sees the customer’s contract and history, and the service report they sign feeds what is billable, which goes to your ERP.
