Contractors, construction and engineering

From bid to job, and from job to maintenance

For electrical, plumbing and low-voltage contractors, engineering firms and remodelers. The bid, the job and the recurring maintenance for the same customer, in one system.

  • Web bids the customer signs
  • Jobs with Gantt, hours and materials
  • The installation moves into maintenance

Who it is for

Is it right for your company?

For companies that build and install, and then maintain what they built:

  • Electrical, plumbing and low-voltage contractors
  • Fire protection contractors
  • Engineering and design firms
  • Remodeling and renovation
  • Industrial installation

Not on the list? attendo can be set up for any line of business, with your document types, your fields and your vocabulary.

The challenges

Margin leaks where nobody sees it in time

A job is won in the bid and lost in the field. And the real margin usually sits in the maintenance that comes afterward.

  • No response

Bids in spreadsheets, with no follow-up

Lots go out, some are won and nobody knows why the rest were lost. Each bid is rebuilt from the previous one.

  • Behind schedule

Schedules and hours that drift silently

Crews, materials and actual hours are known when the job closes, when the overrun can no longer be fixed.

  • Unsigned

    Jobsite safety, on paper

Work permits, safety checklists and subcontractor paperwork sit in binders. If there is an inspection, someone goes looking.

How attendo solves it

Each challenge, with the modules that solve it

They are modules of the same platform: you turn on the ones you use, and they all work on the same record.

Bids you can track and get signed

A pipeline with your bids by stage, and a web bid the customer accepts and signs online. The reason for every lost bid is recorded for the next one. AI Autopilot scores every opportunity from 0 to 100, so the team knows which bid deserves its time.

The job, with its plan and its cost

Projects with phases and line items, a Gantt chart with a baseline and crew workload. Hours, expenses and materials are logged from the app while the work happens.

Materials usage report by item, technician and asset
Materials used, by item, by technician and by asset.

Jobsite safety and handover to maintenance

Work permits and safety checklists with photos and signature, and a process that will not let work start without them. Subcontractors work in the vendor portal. At handover, the installation becomes assets with a maintenance plan. And anyone who sees a safety breach can report it through the whistleblowing channel, anonymously if they prefer.

A typical day · example

Electrical work for a warehouse, from bid to maintenance

A real job looks something like this: bid won, work under way and inspections afterward. Example scenario, with made-up data.

  1. Step 1

    The bid is won

The web bid goes out with two panel options. The customer picks one, signs online and the opportunity is marked as won.

  2. Step 2

    The job is planned

The project starts with its line items and Gantt chart. The workload view shows the local crew is free next week.

  3. Step 3

    Work runs safely

Every morning, the foreman signs the work permit in the app. Hours and materials are logged against each line item.

  4. Step 4

    Handover and maintenance

With the signed closeout, the panels become customer assets with an inspection plan. The maintenance agreement quote goes out the same day.

marIA, the attendo AI

marIA at a contractor

It helps with bids and with keeping the job on track. You decide.

  • Drafts the bid

It writes the web bid with your line items and terms. You review it before it goes out.

  • Ask about your jobs

“Which jobs are over their planned hours?” It answers with your data and shows the query.

  • Suggests the next step

When an opportunity changes stage, marIA proposes the next action based on what it knows about the customer.

What it does not do: It does not do quantity takeoffs or sign work permits for anyone.

Honesty

What attendo does not do

Better to know before the demo. And if your case calls for another tool, we will tell you.

  • Not an estimating or BIM tool

Takeoffs, detailed estimates and BIM models are prepared in your technical tools.

  • Better for trade contractors than large GCs

If you run large civil projects with complex pay applications, specialized construction software may be a better fit.

  • Your accounting stays put

attendo prepares what is billable, and the invoice is issued by your connected ERP: Odoo, Business Central, SAP Business One, Holded or another one through API v4. attendo is not an ERP or accounting software.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for a small contractor?

Yes. You can start with bids and job reports only, and add Gantt-based projects or maintenance when you need them.

Can crews log hours and materials from the jobsite?

Yes, from the iOS and Android app, even offline. They add up on the project while the work happens.

How do I work with subcontractors?

Through the subcontractor portal: they accept or decline each job, propose a date, close it with their report and upload their documents with expiration dates. It all stays on the project.

What happens when the job is finished?

The installation becomes customer assets with a maintenance plan. Same customer, same system, and the maintenance agreement goes out from their record.

Does it do estimates with quantity takeoffs?

No, it is not an estimating tool. The estimate is prepared in your own tool. In attendo, the job is organized into phases and line items to track hours, materials and progress.

Does it work for engineering firms?

Yes. Projects, changes and revisions with approval: see the engineering and projects use case.
