Integration · AI
MCP is the standard an AI assistant uses to work with external tools. attendo speaks it both ways: your assistant queries attendo, and attendo flows query third-party systems.
What it solves
More and more teams work with an AI assistant open all day. Without MCP, that assistant knows nothing about your documents or your customers, and someone copies and pastes.
With attendo as an MCP server, the assistant finds a document, reads its history or adds a note, with the permissions of whoever uses it and leaving a trail. And if another system publishes an MCP server, attendo flows query it without a custom connector.
What it does
A server governed from Settings, and a client used by flows and by the document record.
Your assistant finds documents, customers, assets and contracts and reads their history, citing where each piece of data comes from.
Whoever connects their assistant signs in to attendo, with their two-factor code, and the assistant sees the same as that person on screen.
The server starts read-only. To write, an administrator turns that mode on and publishes the write tools one by one.
Date, tool, arguments and result, including denied calls. And a switch that cuts everything off instantly.
You register a third-party MCP server and a flow step calls its tools with the document’s data.
From the document, the agent asks “is this part in stock?” and marIA picks the right tool on the external server.
What travels
The server answers what it is asked. Nothing is written in attendo unless an administrator opens it up.
| Data | Direction | When |
|---|---|---|
| Documents, customers, assets and contracts | Directionfrom attendo to your assistant | WhenWhen the assistant asks for them |
| Notes, hours, tasks and status changes | Directionfrom your assistant to attendo | WhenOnly if an administrator opens up writing |
| Answers from third-party MCP servers | Directionfrom external MCP server to attendo | WhenWhen a flow or an agent asks for them |
Getting started
attendo as an MCP server is turned on and governed from Settings. Flows as a client of third-party MCP servers are set up with you, using your provider’s server.
Status Available
Typical effort. For an administrator, it takes minutes. What takes time is choosing which write tools to open.
An administrator turns it on in Settings, read-only.
With each person’s user, or with an API key for an integration with no person behind it.
attendo gives you the configuration ready to paste, and a button to check it.
Only if needed, switch to read and write and publish the tools one by one.
Honesty
Nothing is written until an administrator turns on writing and publishes each tool.
Projects, business documents and webhooks have no MCP tool: that is what the API is for.
attendo is the server. You bring the assistant and its AI provider, with their privacy terms.
The server answers what it is asked: it does not send notifications to the assistant.

Frequently asked questions
As a server, attendo is the one being asked: your assistant queries it. As a client, attendo asks third-party systems.
Only if an administrator switches the server to read and write and publishes those tools. By default, no.
If they connect with their user, the same as that technician sees on screen.
Yes. You revoke its connection in the list of connected assistants, or turn off the whole server.
Yes, in both directions: tool, arguments, duration and result. An external server’s answer is not stored.
